Appendix E — Championship Records
This appendix compiles records of major competitions, including national championships and significant tournaments. It includes entrants, results, formats, and hosting venues, with particular attention to early events such as the 1893 Championship.
Its purpose is to document competitive legitimacy and continuity. Rather than treating championships as origin points, it shows how they formalised and recognised an already active playing base — reinforcing the distinction between participation and later institutional recognition.
Championships formalised and recognised an already active system — they did not create it.
